  • Ursula Barton After graduating in 2010 with a BFA in Illustration from Pacific Northwest College of Art, Native Portland, Oregon, resident Ursula Barton launched a postcard and greeting card collection based on her own paintings. Since 2011, she has worked primarily as a muralist, painting large walls and odd spaces for private homes and local businesses all over Portland, with a thematic focus on landscapes and cityscapes. Her murals can be found at Portland’s Daily Cafe, Racion, Rose Lounge, and in winter 2015, her new mural of Portland’s iconic St. Johns Bridge will appear in the heart of the St. Johns neighborhood. She also interned with fine art photographer Katharine T Jacobs on a project that took them to all fifty states. Ursula’s Portland Cityscape paintings layer water-based ink with acrylics to create depth, detail, and often a dreamlike quality. Her greatest influences are traveling, architecture, and nature.
